A TROJAN WOMAN

SANCTUARY CITY TOUR

A Trojan Woman by Sara Farrington, the one-woman contemporary adaptation of Euripides’ The Trojan Women, launched a Sanctuary City Tour in June 2026 and opened at the Mixed Blood Theater in Minneapolis ("…the audience was enthralled" -Talkin’ Broadway; Minneapolis/St.Paul) before traveling to the Magic Theater in San Francisco ("I had the intense pleasure of seeing A Trojan Woman gripping from start to finish." -Julie Motz KWMR).

Directed by The Tank’s Artistic Director Meghan Finn and featuring Madelyn Robinson and India Shea alternating in the title role,  A Trojan Woman brings an ancient story into the heart of today’s headlines. Set in the aftermath of war, a woman and her child find themselves alone in a ruined city, echoing the sorrow and devastation of the women of Troy after the city’s fall to the Greeks. The play follows her journey as she steps into the voices of ten different characters — each one telling a story of loss and survival. At its core, it’s a mother’s grief that shows the lasting cost of war.
